Living skills training helps individuals to learn to do things for themselves. Skills taught include budgeting, paying bills, laundry, cooking, cleaning and many other things that adults are responsible for doing. Training occurs in the person’s home and in their community.
Life Enhancement Options (LEO) Services
- Day Services - This service is located at Wood Lane Industries and provides an alternative to employment and vocational programs through therapeutic and meaningful activities that enhance and encourage the individual's highest level of participation possible. Persons participating in this service are not typically involved in work during the majority of their day.
- Day Habilitation Services - This service provides a gathering place at 705 W. Newton Road, Bowling Green, for persons who receive services or work during non-traditional program hours (evenings and weekends). The Day Habilitation Service program is available during the daytime hours of the week so that persons served may participate in growth-enhancing activities in a community-based environment.
- Older Adult Services - This service provides leisure and recreational activities to persons who are age 55 or older. Based entirely in community settings (such as the Wood County Senior Center), the program supports individuals to socialize with others while transitioning and adjusting to retirement and beyond.
One-day vacations are available with support and supervision provided by staff members.
